Issues adressed: the Spanish Civil War and the collapse of the European project. The project seeks to contribute to the understanding of the Spanish Civil War not only as a military conflict advancing a larger European tragedy, but especially as a historical event that provoked the collapse of the European ideals of freedom, tolerance, cooperation, peaceful conflict solution and equality, represented by the Residencia de Estudiantes. The ultimate goal of this proposal is to promote critical thinking about military conflicts in terms of its consequences for scientific thinking, the defense of culture and diversity, social progress and education. We have designed a touring exhibition, and a programme of seminars, talks and debates with personalities in the fields of the arts, culture, history, education and politics. Countries: Those who were directed involved or affected by the Spanish Civil War, especially regarding the reception of exiles: United Kingdom, France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands. Others will be considered. Profile: Cultural, scientific and education institutions, like museums, arts centres or universities, especially those having experience in issues related to 20th century European history, the Spanish Civil and WWII.Komentarz aplikującego
