MVNP belongs to Coimbra Intermunicipality region, with 84,5km2 and a population of 7700. MVNP’s activities are: environment, youth, sport, social action, education, culture, tourism, entrepreneurship, forestry, civil protection and public works. E.g., Environment - educational activities to prevent environmental problems, and other environmental strategies. Youth and sport- volunteering, exchanges and youth programs, sport programs. Social action, education - educational activities to promote positive behaviours, volunteering, citizenship, social inclusion. Forest and Civil protection - educational activities and forest regulation. The local network includes institutions such as a Theatre Company, Town band, choir and music school (the Philharmonic Association), a Business Association and others. MVNP is affiliated with Tourism of Centre of Portugal, the Portuguese Association of Cities and Villages of Ceramics, Intermunicipal Network of Cooperation for Development (RICD), and others.

Rola partnera w projekcieMobilization of participants for foreign events/exchange visits (total 5) and organizing activities and receive a 3 day event. Participating in online formation about EU funds and grants and debates.
Opis projektuThe project is based on previous town twinning between some Municipalities This will provide and reinforce the European mu-nicipalities network, with southern, northern, eastern and western European countries. The application intends to develop the competences of local communities in European programs and projects, providing working autonomy in this area. It is also intends to provide personal contact and intercultural and experi-ence exchanges. Apart from the municipalities network the intention is to foster a network of other local institutions and associations, Cultural awareness and expression, Intercultural engagement, Volun-teering, Developed Communication in foreign languages and providing a better understanding of European culture and val-ues. We intend to develop ideas for future partnerships and programs, with a diversity of local partners that may develop international projects with the same aims. The project allows personal contact and engagement, through informal, non-formal and formal processes. This mixed methodology will contribute to the activity program diversity and participants’ motivation and achievements. Through activities the debate and exchange of experiences will be promoted, the municipalities being a focus point to foster the relations between citizenships and entities, thereby adding value to this project.
