Opis projektuStrand 1 - European Remembrance 2. Civil society and civic participation under totalitarian regimes Right wing dictatorships have been part of european history of the 20th century. In Germany and Italy this was over 70 years ago in other countries like Spain, Portugal and Greece over 40 years. The Questions we want to answer in this project is: What is the remembrance culture in these different countries like and what tools and methods are used to teach about this time, especially since most of the contemporary witnesses are slowly passing away in the case of Germany and Italy. We also want to see if there are parallels to the current time because of the rising of right-wing populist and nationalistic parties in most parts of Europe and want to see what lessons are to be learned by the civil society to prevent the same things from happening again.
We are looking for partners especially from Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece.
